This ISPS Security Seal Logbook provides a systematic record of the issuance, application, verification, removal, and management of discrepancies for security seals and other designated anti-tamper controls used on board.

The ISPS Code, Part A, Section 9, requires each ship to carry on board a Ship Security Plan (SSP) approved by the Administration. The SSP is developed on the basis of the Ship Security Assessment and sets out the security measures and procedures to be implemented on board. Where the approved SSP includes the use of seals or other anti-tamper controls for restricted areas, cargo spaces, ship?s stores or other security-sensitive points, this logbook provides a structured record to support their management.
