This booklet includes a sample copy of the REPAIRCON and MINREPCON2018 contracts and the related explanatory notes. REPAIRCON is the standard contract for use in connection with major ship repairs, in a wet or dry dock, at a shipyard or in a similar facility. The explanatory notes provide some background information on the clauses of the BIMCO contracts.
In contrast to REPAIRCON, which is the standard agreement for major ship repair works, MINREPCON is the recommended contract for minor works or maintenance. MINREPCON will typically be used for arrangements with a local plumber, electrician or carpenter to attend on board when a vessel is at berth or anchorage.
