Witherby’s LNG Port Info is a web portal providing detailed and up-to-date information for each LNG import and export terminal, from the LNG carrier’s perspective. This online resource contains terminal data from over 150 LNG ports in more than 50 countries.
For more information, please visit www.lngport.info or contact us directly at lng.ports@witherbys.com.
Witherby’s LNG Port Info is a database that collates, in a comprehensive and standardised format, all the information you need to visit LNG terminals around the world.
For each terminal, you will see information about:
- Terminal and Port Overview
- Pre-Arrival and Departure
- Navigation
- Mooring and Fendering
- Cargo Operations
- Emergency
- Contacts and Communications.
LNG Port Info also has a built-in Quick Ship Check to allow you to identify suitable terminals or limiting parameters for ships to access the berth. It has two functions – Global and Advanced.
Global tab allows users to search for suitable terminals by entering the high level LNGC parameters:
- LOA
- Breadth
- Draught
- Displacement or cubic capacity.
With this basic data, the portal will display the LNG ports that can safely accommodate the LNGC (subject to a more detailed Ship-Shore compatibility study).
Advanced tab allows comparison of detailed dimensions of a given ship with a berth selected from the portal. The analysis to see whether it is safe for the ship to go alongside is based on:
- Physical dimensions and limitations
- Moorings
- Marine loading arms
- Gangway
- Fenders
This subscription renews on a yearly basis. You will not be charged automatically on the renewal date but will be sent an email notification in advance letting you know that your access is about to expire. An LNG Port Info subscription can be combined with an account for our SHIPMOOR mooring analysis software to allow for an in-depth compatibility assessment. A special fleet subscription rate is also available on demand. If you would like to trial the system, please contact lng.ports@witherbys.com.
